«Raising the debt limit was the questionable part.

Some kind of loan to get a long term plan working ??

We'll see I guess. Want to hear what he has to say at his next State of the Union address.

One thing I do know, the bill does not cut SS, Medicare and Medicaid like the Democrats kerp screaming about.

Here is how Democrats define "a cut in tge budget".

They ask for a 20% increase in Medicaid spending but only get a 5% increase.
So they scream, "He's cutting Medicaid 15% !!!" .

Will Americans ever figure out the MSM, liberal or conservative, are all fucking liars ???

«@Cripple bullshit. More blah blah blah from you. I know you won't read this, and idiots will complain about AI, but it's all factual you should educate yourself do some research LOL
The "One Big Beautiful Bill" (OBBB) includes significant cuts to Medicaid and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), commonly known as food stamps, among other social services, as a means to offset large tax cuts and increased spending in other areas like border security and defense.
Here's a breakdown of the cuts and changes:
Medicaid:
* Spending Cuts: The Senate version of the bill proposes cutting federal spending on Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) by over $1 trillion over the next decade. This is an 18% larger cut than the House-approved version.
* Work Requirements: The bill imposes new work requirements of 80 hours a month for many able-bodied adults without children or disabilities receiving Medicaid. These changes are expected to be implemented by the end of 2026.
* Eligibility Checks: The legislation includes more frequent eligibility checks for Medicaid recipients.
* Immigrant Coverage: There are new limits on Medicaid coverage for immigrants who are in the country legally. The bill also aims to prevent federal funds from going to states that provide healthcare coverage to undocumented immigrants through Medicaid infrastructure.
* Co-payments: States may be required to charge Medicaid recipients above the poverty line for co-payments for some health care services.
* Provider Taxes: The Senate bill proposes lowering provider taxes incrementally from 6% to 3.5% by 2032.
* Gender Transition Procedures: The bill bans federal funding for gender-transition procedures through Medicaid and CHIP.
* Family Planning Providers: Certain non-profit health centers that primarily focus on family planning and reproductive health and provide abortions outside of specific circumstances (rape, incest, life-threatening situations) could lose federal Medicaid funding for 10 years if they billed more than $1 million in combined federal and state Medicaid/CHIP payments in FY 2024.
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP - Food Stamps):
* Spending Cuts: The OBBB includes estimated cuts of $295 billion for SNAP for fiscal years 2025 to 2034, representing a 36% cut by 2034.
* Work Requirements: The bill expands existing work requirements in SNAP to more beneficiaries, regardless of whether they are able-bodied adults without dependents (ABAWD) or not.
* Cost Shift to States: The legislation shifts more of the costs of SNAP to states. Currently, the program is fully funded by the federal government. Beginning in 2028, the federal government would continue to fully fund benefits only for states with an error payment rate below 6%.
* Benefit Payment Restrictions: The bill restricts future updates to the program, which could keep benefit payments low and reduce the purchasing power of those receiving nutrition assistance.
It's important to note that the "big beautiful bill" is a complex piece of legislation with various interpretations and projected impacts. While supporters argue it will eliminate waste and fraud and strengthen programs for the truly vulnerable, critics warn that these cuts could lead to millions losing essential health coverage and food assistance.

«@Meanbean2013 Just love your made up stats without the explanation.

You posted..
* Spending Cuts: The Senate version of the bill proposes cutting federal spending on Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) by over $1 trillion over the next decade. This is an 18% larger cut than the House-approved version.

What you didn't include, is that are the numbers that are being reduced because of beneficiaries who have been receiving Medicaid even though they were disqualified years ago but the Biden administration kept the payments going.
Illegals, who should NEVER have been given those benefits, are being taken off. People who's income has risen enough over a year ago to disqualify the benefits are now being removed from the recipient list.
People who lied on their Medicaid application about assets have been uncovered and are being removed. All with out prosecution of their application misrepresentations.

You always ask for "source"? Well, give us yours. Or is it all just made-up numbers or numbers skewed by the MSM ?

My source?
My business of helping individuals and families to apply for Medicaid and Social Security Extra Help.

I am seeing the purging of the non-qualified first hand.

Really not so hard to accept when a beneficiary asks me to help in keeping their Medicaid, only to find they are not legally in the USA.
Or they have an investment rental property worth $650,000 that they omitted owning on their application.
Or the $150,000 annuity they are invested in that they didn't disclose because, " County/State Job and Family Services (JFS) did not ask if they had an "annuity"". Well yes Job and Family Services did when they ask, "List ALL liquid assets".

So don't just regurgitate these semi-truths that these biased polls spew as "facts".

OK, now, go ahead and post some juvenile name-calling of me because you know my facts are right and you just bury yourself into the lies of the MSM.

«@patient07841984       Not so at all. Last POTUS election, 38% of eligible US voters failed to cast their ballot.
Far too many Americans were too lazy to get of their fat asses and attend a polling booth, instead choosing
to visit McDonald's. Total political apathy. And that's why they ended up with a shit for brains president.        RIP USA
