Pakistan: MANSEHRA: A tourist from Quetta drowned in Kunhar River in Kaghan valley while taking a selfie on Wednesday.
According to Kaghan Police Station SHO Raja Sajid, Muhammad Ramazan, 23, fell into the river while taking selfies on large rocks near the water’s edge.“The tourist lost his footing and plunged into the strong water flow,” Sajid told reporters.

No chance of jumping back onto a rock you just jumped 4 feet out and 3 feet down.
Would have taken an Olympic high jumper to get back onto the higher rock he jumped from.
Best to just go with the flow at that point and go to the side once possible.
He wore himself out way too early trying to swim against that current.»
