Little miss secretary, being the good water carrier for the World's Orangest Dictator that she is, spins her response in such a way so that can now attack the reporter instead of answering the question directly. Little miss secretary then goes a step further and calls the police reporter's decency into question by implying she's callous to the death of all those farmers. That's the move of an accomplished liar right there....

According to the South African Police Service Annual Crime Report for 2022-23, murders of farmers make up less than one percent of the total number of murders in the country. There were 51 murders on farms in 2022-23 out of a total of 27,500 and those stats didn't break down the racial identity of the victims. Leavitt's statement declaring the racial composition of the victims is highly dubious for a variety of reasons, most notably because it contradicts the report. Even if every one of documented murders was a white farmer, 51 murders out of 27,500 does not a white farmer genocide make.

Statistically, it only makes sense that if a farmer were murdered, the probability is that they'd be white. Whites own 72% of the land in S. Africa while only being 7% of the total population. Fortunately, farmers comprise only a very small percentage of the total murders in S. Africa.

Now this, from Darell Brown, a farmer who helped organize the demonstration featured in the video Trump showed, “The message we’re trying to convey is: farm murders must stop. I don’t mean just murders of white commercial farmers. Farm murders must stop.” He explained that the roadside crosses were representative of farmers who had been killed and called on the government to take the issue seriously.

Lastly, The South African news website IOL quoted a participant in the demonstration, Bob Hoatson, as saying that the initiative was not about white farmers: “It was for people from all walks of life who were concerned about farm murders,” he said.
