When cell phones came around, I always tried to use the speaker phone part then when the first bluetooth headsets came along, I've always
used those, and now bluetooth headsets or hands free in the car.

The only effect they have on living tissue is a tiny amount of thermal energy (heating) which would be drowned out anyways by the actual heat given off (like any electrical device) as the phone converts chemical energy of the batteries into electromagnetic energy.»
