While waiting at a red light on Highway 20, through Bao Loc City, a 60-year-old man riding a motorbike was run over by a "driverless" truck and died on the spot.
On May 18, according to information from the Lam Dong Provincial Police Department, the unit detained driver Phan Van Cong (38 years old, from Nam Dinh) to serve the investigation.
Driver Cong was the one who "abandoned" the truck on the side of the road, letting the "driverless" vehicle run over and kill a man on Tran Phu Street (National Highway 20), B'Lao Ward (Bao Loc City) at the traffic light intersection (Ly Tu Trong intersection and National Highway 20) on the afternoon of May 17.
