One of the migrants charged with killing 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray was released into the United States weeks ago.

According to the New York Post, one of the men was released into the US after he claimed he was afraid for his life.
Johan Jose Rangel Martinez, 21, and Franklin Jose Pena Ramos, 26, both reportedly from Venezuela, were arrested in Houston, Texas for the death.
According to police, they were seen speaking to Jocelyn before being seen with her at a convenience store and later on at the bridge where she died.
Pena Ramos allegedly crossed into El Paso, Texas, on May 28 and was later released.
Jocelyn was raped, strangled, and later found in a creek, according to authorities.
