A man says he plans to file a lawsuit after two East Ridge police officers took him to the ground and cuffed him after refusing to let him leave the hospital, which was caught on body camera, according to attorney Robin Flores.

An arrest report says East Ridge Police officers responded to Parkridge Hospital ER on report of a combative patient.

Officers say they found Johnathan Ellish walking south on Spring Creek Road, having left the ER.

Ellish was bleeding apparently from where he pulled an IV from his arm, the report says.

ER staff told ER police that Ellish had made suicidal threats, albeit in a state of intoxication, and was currently under evaluation for a CON.

Ellish was told he could not leave the ER and an argument ensued, the report says.

Officer Roistacher attempted to cuff Ellish who then became combative, according to the report.

Ellish was taken to the ground and cuffed by Officers Simmons and Roistacher.

Ellish was very bloody, more than would have been expected, which officers learned from the ER staff was because Ellish is on a very strong blood thinner.

Ellish's attorney Robin Flores says Ellish was arrested and taken back to Parkridge where he was treated for his injuries.

We reached out to East Ridge Police Department for a statement but have not heard back.

Two of the officers involved in the arrest are also involved in lawsuits alleging unnecessary force.

Officer Samuel Roiscaster was sued in August for excessive force.

Officer Anna Simmons was named in a lawsuit in July for abuse, cause of injury and false charges.

«The belligerent argumentative nature of the male oink at the beginning of the encounter is absolutely disgusting. Seeking to escalate in that way with a senior is disgusting. His whole attitude and that of the oinkess, who desperately seeks his male approval in the way she mimics his interactions, is one of someone who is a bully and has little respect for old folk or understanding of age related physical restriction or by conditions such as arthritis. The striped oink should of but failed to interject at the repeated pleas from the old man to ease up on the cuffs, which transpired to be incorrectly applied and causing much pain. Fire em all , take every penny they possess by suing em then make sure they never work in LE again.»
