The moment a man who was holding a large knife fell to the ground after armed police rushed towards him and shot him with their stun guns has been caught on bodyworn cameras. Officers from Greater Manchester Police were called to reports of an armed man near a school on Liverpool Road and New Moss Road in Irlam and Cadishead at about 09:00 BST on Tuesday. Footage shows the man in his 60s cried out as police used their newly-issued Taser 10 guns to detain him after rushing towards him while demanding he dropped the knife. A 21-year-old man remains in hospital in a serious condition after reports of a disorder on Foundry Lane, Smethwick last night (26 May). A 19-year-old man and two 18-year-olds have been arrested on suspicion of wounding and remain in police custody. Officers attended the scene just before 9.30pm where there was a large gathering. They are carrying out CCTV enquiries and speaking to witnesses and are appealing to anyone with information to get in touch. A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "We’re aware of footage being posted on social media and would ask people to not share this as we work through our investigation." A teenage boy was stabbed on Brighton seafront next to a crowded beach on bank holiday Monday, police have said. Sussex Police said it received reports of a large group of people fighting in the area of Shelter Hall food court, on Kings Road Arches, at about 21:30 BST. The victim, a boy from Surrey, was taken to hospital for treatment, where his injuries were confirmed to be superficial. Det Insp Jen Pietersen, of Brighton CID, said: "We know the beach was extremely crowded at the time of this incident and we're urging anyone who can assist in our inquiries to please come forward." The driver beeps her horn to avoid an accident. The police then stop her and confirm she is being reported for court over “inappropriate use of horn.” Driver: “You’re taking me to court because I came in from a junction and a male was crossing the road, didn’t look and I beeped… is that correct?” Officer: “Yes.” The officer then reads her the caution before stating: “You’ve been reported for the consideration of prosecution for inappropriate use of horn.” This isn’t a joke. While violent crime, knife attacks, grooming gangs, thefts, and burglaries continue to plague communities across the country, officers are spending time and resources pursuing a woman for sounding her horn at a careless pedestrian.
