A family armed with wooden planks and metal poles came to blows with their neighbours in a mass brawl over claims of drug dealing. The Jenkins family descended on their neighbour's home with weapons after their home was ransacked with golf clubs. Swansea Crown Court heard that the violence started when brothers Adam Miller and Kristian Thomas had attacked the Jenkins' family home after suspecting that Corey Jenkins, 23, was involved in drug dealing. The brothers fled to the nearby home of their relative David Dollimore, where they were ambushed by the Jenkins family, out for revenge. The street in the Ravenhill suburb of Swansea then erupted into a violent melee between the two families. Four members of the Jenkins family armed themselves with homemade weapons as they launched their attack on their neighbours. A judge said that while the brothers had instigated the incident, the Jenkins family engaged in an act of 'vigilantism' with no regard for their fellow neighbours. Footage of the violence was captured on CCTV and a mobile phone, both of which were shown to a court. Corey Jenkins brandished a plank of wood 'studded with nails' and a metal pole, while Paul Jenkins, 64, carried a hammer and Christopher Jenkins, 45, and Lisa Jenkins, 45, wielded sticks. Video footage shows the moment the Jenkins launched their attack on the brothers on June 6. One of the brothers was first seen throwing a hammer towards the Jenkins, which appeared to hit one of the family in the leg. The three men then went on the attack and began throwing their huge weapons at their neighbours. The brothers fought back and wrestled with the Jenkins and trying to grab the weapons themselves. The brawl turned ugly as men were thrown over the railings of the garden and one of the Jenkins men took a huge blow to the face. During the brawl, Thomas struck a neighbour of the Jenkins family, Kirsty Choi, on the head with a metal pole, while she was attending to a member of the Jenkins family who was lying on the ground. After around 40 seconds of chaos, the Jenkins family retreated, bloodied and bruised. The Jenkins family, all of Ravenhill, Swansea, pleaded guilty to violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon. Paul and Christopher Jenkins had previous convictions, while Corey and Lisa Jenkins had no prior criminal history. Kristian Dale Thomas, 39, of Tudno Place, Penlan, Swansea, had previously pleaded guilty to criminal damage and had been convicted at trial of the unlawful wounding of Miss Choi when he appeared in the dock for sentencing. He was described as possessing an 'extensive' criminal record, including handling stolen goods, possession of offensive weapons, affray, and inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent. Adam Miller, 34, also of Tudno Place, Penlan, had previously pleaded guilty to criminal damage and possession of an offensive weapon when he appeared alongside his brother. He was also described as having an 'extensive' criminal history, with convictions for affray, assault, arson, public disorder, and criminal damage. Both men were cleared at trial of violent disorder in connection with the incident. Mr Dallimore was likewise found not guilty. Judge Catherine Richards stated that Miller and Thomas had instigated the brawl by taking 'the law into their own hands' when they descended on the Jenkins' home and smashed the windows. She said the Jenkins family 'had subsequently armed themselves and engaged in an act of vigilantism'. The judge said they showed no regard for their impact on the wider community or the fear they would cause fellow residents. Paul Jenkins and Christopher Jenkins were each handed 18-month prison sentences, while Corey Jenkins received 22 months behind bars. Lisa Jenkins was handed an 18-month prison sentence, suspended for 18 months, and was ordered to carry out 250 hours of unpaid community work and comply with a nightly curfew for the following two months. Following guilty plea reductions, Miller was sentenced to nine months in prison. A cocaine dealer from Tunbridge Wells was arrested after officers found him attempting to destroy a mobile phone by flushing it down the toilet. A block of cocaine was later discovered inside his backpack. Kent Police officers attended an address in Scotts Way on 2 October 2025 as part of ongoing enquiries into drug supply in the area. After forcing entry to a locked room inside the property, officers found Sabinson Selimaj in an ensuite bathroom attempting to flush a broken mobile phone down the toilet in an effort to conceal evidence. After retrieving the phone, a search of Selimaj’s backpack uncovered a block of cocaine, drug paraphernalia and a counterfeit driving licence. Detectives carrying out a search of the room also seized approximately £20,000 in cash. Selimaj was arrested at the scene on suspicion of drug related offences. The 28 year old was later charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine and possession of criminal property.
