According to investigators, officers believed they saw 19-year-old Kadir Skinner with a handgun and moved toward him, prompting him to run from the area. Body-camera footage released weeks later shows an officer leaving his patrol vehicle and sprinting after Skinner along a sidewalk. The recording begins without audio because of the camera's buffering feature, but sound activates moments before the officer fires several shots during the brief foot pursuit. Within seconds, Skinner falls to the ground as officers continue giving commands to drop a weapon while securing the scene. As officers approached the wounded teenager, Skinner repeatedly insisted he was unarmed and soon complained that he could not breathe. The officer who fired the shots told arriving officers that an object had been discarded, leading another officer to search the nearby grass before reporting that a firearm had been recovered. While officers handcuffed Skinner and requested emergency medical assistance, neighbors and family members rushed toward the scene, shouting for police to help him and questioning the officers' actions. The emotional confrontation intensified as bystanders were pushed back and officers worked to control the growing crowd before Skinner was eventually carried to a police cruiser and transported to Wilmington Hospital. Skinner later died from his injuries, and the shooting quickly became the focus of multiple investigations and public scrutiny. After the Delaware Department of Justice released body-camera footage from three responding officers, attorneys representing Skinner's family argued the videos conflict with the official account that he posed an immediate threat before the shooting, maintaining that the recordings do not clearly show him pointing a firearm at anyone. The family has since filed a $25 million claim against the City of Wilmington and is seeking criminal charges against the officer involved. Meanwhile, state officials say both the independent Department of Justice review and the Wilmington Police Department's internal investigation remain active, with a comprehensive report and the identities of the officers expected to be released after the investigations are completed.

Man in custody, 3 injured after ‘retaliation’ shooting outside Wilson courthouse

A man is in custody after police say he shot a woman outside the Wilson County Courthouse and then traded gunfire with police — an incident officials believe was in retaliation for a fatal shooting last month. Abdul Karim Mustafa, 21, of Wilson, faces four charges, including attempted first-degree murder and going armed to terror of the public after police said he approached a 19-year-old woman who was entering the courthouse and shot her several times before fleeing. Police believe the incident was connected to a shooting from several weeks ago that killed a 16-year-old, according to Wilson County Sheriff Calvin L. Woodard Jr. “Based on information, we can at least say there is some connection between [the suspect], the female, and an incident that occurred several weeks ago, and it possibly could have been some form of retaliation,” Woodard said during a news conference Monday afternoon. On June 23, deputies responded to the 8400 block of Knapp Rise for reports of a suspicious person who had also been seen trying to get into homes in the area. When deputies arrived, they found a man, later identified as 38-year-old Danh Thanh Dinh on a front porch holding two large knives described as "miniature samurai swords." Authorities say Dinh was hiding behind a pillar before stepping out and walking toward deputies with the knives. Deputies repeatedly ordered him to drop the weapons, but say he continued advancing. "Hey brother..let us talk to you man....don't do that put the knives down.....put the knives down.....hey look put the knives down....stay back don't you come here with those knives," one deputy could be heard saying in the video. One deputy then opened fire, striking Dinh. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was treated for his injuries before being booked into the Bexar County Jail. Upon arrival, the officers were met by a family member of the suspect outside of the suspect’s residence. While officers were conducting their investigation, the suspect, later identified as 40-year-old Robert Velasquez, emerged from the residence with two knives and a grilling fork. The officers gave verbal commands to Velasquez to drop the weapons, but he did not comply. Velasquez threw one of the knives in the officers’ direction and while still armed with one knife and the grilling fork, an Officer-Involved Shooting occurred. Velasquez fell to the ground momentarily and began to get back up to his feet, still holding the knife and grilling fork resulting in a second Officer-Involved Shooting. Velasquez was struck by gunfire, collapsed onto the ground, but refused to submit to arrest. Velasquez sat up and began moving toward the front door of the residence resulting in the use of an intermediate force option. The intermediate force option was successful, and Velasquez was taken into custody. The officers rendered medical aid until the arrival of Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics. Los Angeles Fire Department personnel arrived at scene and transported Velasquez to a local hospital for medical treatment. Two knives and a grilling fork were recovered at the scene and booked as evidence. No community members or officers were injured during this incident.

Man shot by deputies after allegedly charging at officer with knife

Azusa, CA - A man armed with a knife was shot by Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies Wednesday afternoon after authorities say he charged toward a deputy during a confrontation in the Azusa area. The deputy-involved shooting happened around 3:30 p.m. in the 5500 block of North Orangecrest Avenue in an unincorporated area near Azusa, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Authorities said deputies from the San Dimas Sheriff’s Station responded to reports of an attempted suicide call where a man was harming himself with a knife. When deputies arrived, the man allegedly exited a side gate of the residence while armed and refused repeated commands to surrender the weapon, investigators said. The man then allegedly charged toward the nearest deputy, who was standing near a patrol vehicle, prompting the deputy to open fire. Deputies and firefighters rendered aid at the scene before the man was transported to a hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, authorities said. Investigators recovered a knife with an approximately 3-inch blade at the scene. Steven Eastwood, 28, was fatally shot by Southampton Town Police on May 10 after officers responded to a 911 call from his mother, who reported he was intoxicated and acting violently inside their Northampton home. Officials previously said responding officers saw him in the house with the knife and attempted to de-escalate the situation. Body camera footage from multiple officers shows them yelling “drop the knife” several times while Eastwood is seen with what appears to be his mother's blood on his sweater, sleeves, and hands. “Got one at gunpoint, send more units,” an officer can be heard saying over the police radio. Body camera footage shows Eastwood briefly stepping out the front door with a knife in hand, pausing to stare outward before turning back inside. He is then seen moving into the room where his mother lies on the floor, where authorities allege he continued the attack as she can be heard intermittently moaning. According to the Attorney General’s Office, two officers fired their service weapons after Eastwood allegedly continued the attack on his mother. He is then seen falling to the ground next to her, where he was later pronounced dead. At a press conference following the shooting, officials said officers shot Eastwood to end his attack on her. The Attorney General’s Office says several knives were recovered at the scene. Three Southampton Town Police officers were reportedly injured during the incident but have since recovered.

lol...female police shot & killed the jew who was running away from the armed suspect

The bystander who was shot and killed by a female Montreal police officer while attempting to flee an armed suspect has been identified as Rabbi Michael Moshe Mizrahi, a member of the local Chabad center.

BREAKING NEWS: Shooting In Montreal, Canada

An armed suspect wearing camouflage clothing opened fire on police in Montreal, Canada.
