LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville Metro Police identified a man shown on video pulling a woman’s hair and hitting her with what appears to be a belt. Louisville Metro Council members previously said the incident was a road rage incident that happened Sept. 30 near Preston Highway and Grade Lane. LMPD said the suspect was driving a motorcycle at the time. “To be honest, I really don’t know what to say,” Tenaya Stanford said. “Besides, it’s traumatizing. I did nothing to him. I don’t know him. He was being hateful toward me.” Stanford said the confrontation started on Interstate 65 and continued for miles. She said she got off I-65 at Preston Highway, where she encountered a man on a motorcycle. “Ms. Stanford was stopped, her car vandalized,” Louisville Metro Councilwoman Tammy Hawkins said. “She was dragged into the street and beaten with a blunt, metal weapon while protecting her infant child. She had to seek medical attention with severe injuries and deep trauma.” Hawkins and Councilwoman Betsy Ruhe said they’re now putting pressure on LMPD to find and arrest the man in the video. “I find myself wondering ... it’s been 48 hours,” Ruhe said. “We have good descriptions of the man based on what’s been put out on social media. They have reason to believe they know who it is. Has this person, this man, been brought in for questioning? Has he been arrested? I know the system takes time to work but I also know you’ve got a lot of information to work with right now.” The video shows dozens of people driving past, and no one stopped as Stanford was being thrown around and beaten. “By the grace of God, my baby is still here,” Stanford’s mother said. Hawkins said people have called her with a possible identification of the suspect from video circulating on social media. “LMPD is actively investigating this incident,” LMPD said in a statement. “Officers responded, spoke with the reported victim and completed a police report.” LMPD said detectives have since located additional surveillance video and conducted additional interviews with Stanford. Police said detectives have identified the other person involved. Detectives are consulting with prosecutors from the Jefferson County Attorney’s Office to determine what charges may be appropriate, according to LMPD. A 55-year-old Florida man BLOWS KISSES at a 23-year-old on I-75 before causing a crash and fleeing. Troopers say Alberto Irizarry Rivera was in a Chevy pickup when it started just after 4:30 p.m. Thursday on southbound I-75 near mile marker 254 in Riverview. ⠀ The other driver, a 23-year-old from Apollo Beach, was in a Hyundai Elantra. He told FHP the Chevy cut him off and stopped short on purpose. ⠀ Video captured by the victim shows Rivera taunting him and blowing kisses through an open window. ⠀ FHP says the Chevy then jumped in front of the Hyundai and brake-checked it, causing the alleged collision. ⠀ Rivera did not stop or trade information. He left the crash behind and kept going. ⠀ FHP found him at home later that evening and he was booked into the Hillsborough County Jail. He is charged with reckless driving causing property damage. He is also charged with leaving the scene of a crash with property damage. ⠀ No injuries were listed in the FHP account. The victim's name has not been released. ⠀⠀ A review of federal FARS data found Florida's fatal road-rage crashes jumped 200% from 2023 to 2024. PICO RIVERA, Calif. -- Shocking video captured the moment a man was struck and nearly run over following what appeared to be a parking lot fender bender at a busy Pico Rivera shopping plaza. The chaotic situation unfolded just after 5 p.m. Thursday near Whittier and Paramount boulevards, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. The driver of the front vehicle appeared visibly upset and broke off one side mirror from the car behind him. Moments later, as he continued walking nearby, he punched and shattered the vehicle's other side mirror.
