Jesus is not your imaginary friend

Sat 10 Oct 2026 19:53:03 +0200

The claim that Jesus is an "imaginary friend" is a common skeptical critique of personal religious devotion, contrasting with historical, theological, and psychological perspectives on faith. The Skeetical Perspective • Subjective Projection: Critics often argue that an invisible, silent companion who matches a believer's inner thoughts functions psychologically like a childhood imaginary friend or a projection of personal desires. • Historical Skepticism: Some fringe or secular arguments propose that the figure of Jesus was heavily mythologized, symbolically constructed, or abstracted rather than based on concrete, contemporaneous documentation. The Theological and Historical Response • Historical Grounding: Mainstream scholarship and Christian theology hold that Jesus of Nazareth was a real historical figure who lived in 1st-century Judea, whose life, crucifixion, and impact are documented in both biblical and secular Roman/Jewish writings. Texts like Jesus Is Not Your Imaginary Friend - Православие.Ru emphasize that historic Christian practice treats the divine not as a casual mental projection, but as an objective, transcendent reality and sacramental presence. • Lord vs. Friend Distinction: Many theologians and traditional writers—such as discussions highlighted on Jesus Is Not Your Imaginary Friend—warn against reducing God to a purely casual or "imaginary buddy," noting that historic Christianity views Jesus as Lord, Creator, and Savior rather than a pliable, internal thought partner. • Community and Accountability: Christian traditions stress that faith is anchored through historical texts, shared liturgy, and real human community (such as church fellowship) rather than isolated, internal fantasy.

Liberal pastor says Jesus was an abortionist and if He were alive today, He would be leading the charge in opening abortion clinics because they're sacred! "Blessed are those who END PREGNANCIES, for they will be known for their loving kindness." This blasphemy is nothing more than venom from a SNAKE!

Davide Gelso Sculpture of our Lord Survives Wild Fire, Everything Else Burned.

Thu 30 Jul 2026 09:16:22 +0200

An olive tree from Salento, already dead from xylella.

Davide Gelso has it removed from the field to sculpt it.

Shortly after… the fire ravages the entire area.

The other olive trees go up in smoke.

He, already removed, escapes the flames.

Today the sculpture stands intact amid the ashes.

The Savior has been saved

GROK: "Yes, it’s verified. “Il Salvatore salvato” by Davide Gelso is a sculpture carved from an olive tree from Salento that died from Xylella. The tree was removed from the field just before a fire that burned the others. The work exists and has been exhibited. The Christ of Saumos also withstood the flames of the Gironde fires in July 2026."

One of the Most Powerful Bible Prophesies of all Time... Jesus Clearly Foreshadowed in the OT

Wed 24 Jun 2026 07:34:56 +0200

In Zechariah 12:10 Yahweh Himself declares:

“They will look on Me whom they have pierced…”

Pause and let that sink in.

When was Yahweh ever pierced?

This is one of the most powerful prophecies in the OT written hundreds of years before the cross.

Yahweh speaking in the first person, saying He would be pierced by His own people and then mourned for.

The only fulfillment in history of such an event is Jesus of Nazareth on the cross.

Same God.

Same pierced hands and side.

Same promise of redemption.

The OT doesnt just hint at the Messiah….it reveals the shocking truth that the Son of God himself would enter our suffering and be pierced for our transgressions.

Who else but Jesus fulfilled this? Nothing in history comes close. Jesus is Yahweh the Son…..who came in the flesh and dwelt among us.
