Then after being removed, the actor allegedly punched one male patron who was helping the bar manager, before returning and punching a second man in the nose. LaBeouf was then held down by bystanders until police arrived and he was taken to a hospital. He was later discharged, arrested and charged with two counts of simple battery. The comments of the call indicated the Person Reporting (PR) stated he was armed with a knife, threatening to kill himself, speaking to ghosts, and had expressed that he would kill anyone who approached his front door.</div> <div> </div> <div>Upon arrival, officers were supported by additional responding units. The officers entered the apartment building and approached the PR’s apartment door. As they neared the door, the officers announced their presence and heard the suspect yelling from inside the apartment. The suspect abruptly opened the door. The officers re-positioned themselves further away from the apartment door and attempted to communicate with the suspect again.</div> <div> </div> <div>Shortly thereafter, the suspect suddenly exited the apartment and ran towards the officers armed with a large kitchen knife. As the suspect charged at the officers, an Officer-Involved Shooting (OIS) and the discharge of a 40-mm less-lethal round occurred simultaneously.</div> <div> </div> <div>Officers rendered medical aid to the suspect until Los Angeles Fire Department personnel arrived.
