A store clerk was caught on camera attempting to stop a robber from stealing from a northwest Atlanta gas station earlier this month. The video shows the clerk at the store located at 1400 Donald Lee Hollowell Pkwy. NW in a struggle with the man around 9:20 p.m. on July 12. According to the Atlanta Police Department, the man, who had been spotted taking items and putting them into a bag, was confronted by the store clerk. The video shows the two men in a physical struggle. The man was later seen walking westbound on Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway. The identity of the man involved in the struggle remains unknown. Authorities have not said what specific items were placed in the bag. It is unknown if anyone sustained injuries during the physical struggle. Sunday the 26th at Tynemouth Market, a family member caught a man taking photos of his children. After confronting him and taking his phone from him they discovered his phone contained numerous photos of other children and babies as well. The police were called, but the response was incredibly frustrating. 27-year-old man is wanted for attempted first-degree murder after dramatic surveillance footage captured him chasing a woman with a gun into a gas station in Pitt County. According to report, a woman was seen jumping over the counter and running into what appears to be the back office to escape, while two employees bravely hold back the armed man as he tries to follow her. Authorities have identified the gunman as 27-year-old Canyjzi Johnson of Nashville. Deputies say a white Ford pickup truck believed to be owned by Johnson was towed from the area as the search for him continued. The manhunt led deputies to shut down East Hanrahan Road near the Weyerhaeuser plant to all traffic around 12:30 p.m. on Friday, with a highway closed for most of Friday afternoon before being reopened. RUSKIN, Fla. — The man accused of shoving another man off a boat dock in Ruskin and throwing his body into the water was found guilty on Wednesday. A jury found 52-year-old Kamal Padlowski guilty of one count of murder after a brief trial that took place over the span of three days. The family of the victim, Melvin Jimenez, was in court. Throughout the week, prosecutors argued that Padlowski met the victim at a bar near Bahia Beach Boulevard in May of 2024, before inviting him back to his boat to continue drinking. During the trial, surveillance video was shown capturing the night of the murder and the altercation that ensued. It was the first time Angela and Kimberly Sprenger, Jimenez’s wife and daughter, said they saw video. “He was a good person. He would never do anything to deserve this. No one deserves to be killed in broad daylight from other people,” said Kimberly. Bodycam video showing a conversation between a witness and an officer was also revealed and a handful of other witnesses were called to the stand. Padlowski also took the stand during trial. “All the things he was saying was just total lies. And to try to go after my husband’s character that way is just so awful,” said Angela. On Wednesday, following the jury’s decision, a judge revoked bond for Padlowski and adjudicated him guilty. Sentencing has been scheduled for Aug. 17 at 2 p.m., with post trial motions to be heard at that time. A man is in critical condition after being shot multiple times Monday afternoon in North Philadelphia, according to police. Police say officers were called to the 900 block of North Carlisle Street around 3:05 p.m. for reports of gunfire. When they arrived, they found an adult man with several gunshot wounds. The victim was rushed by officers to Temple University Hospital and is currently listed in critical condition, according to police. A Dodge Challenger was seen at the scene with multiple bullet holes through the passenger side window, according to police. Milwaukee, WI - Police body camera videos have been released of an officer-involved shooting that took place late the night of July 4. Initial reports revealed that after hearing multiple gunshots around 2:15 a.m. on July 5, a vehicle fleeing from the scene struck an officer, which prompted the team responding to fire multiple rounds into the vehicle. According to a criminal complaint, the 18-year-old driver was told to exit the vehicle, but he ignored the commands and tried to speed away. The officer who was hit was taken to a hospital for leg pain, where they found a visible laceration/puncture to her leg. The vehicle continued to flee after hitting the officer, side-swiping at least one vehicle, entering the oncoming traffic lane, and disregarding multiple red lights, until it crashed into another vehicle. After crashing, the victim in the other vehicle, a silver Toyota Rav 4, watched the driver attempt to continue driving away, but ultimately parked and ran on foot. The victim, who hit his head on the steering wheel, proceeded to lose consciousness and didn’t wake up until after arriving at the hospital. The assailant, meanwhile, was eventually caught and taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds.
