The rising rapper from Chicago BloodHound Q50, who was born as Mikquale Cooper, has been shot and killed at a gas station in Fuller Park, Chicago. The Cook County medical examiner's office identified the victim as a 22-year-old Mikquale Cooper, who was fatally shot Sunday morning in Fuller Park. A representative associated with AMF Music Group has confirmed Cooper was the rap artist who performed as BloodHound Q50, per Chicago Sun Times. According to Chicago police officials, Cooper was inside a car at around 4 a.m. in the 4200 block of South Wentworth Avenue when two cars approached and several people inside both opened fire at him. A cash machine has been torn from a funeral directors' building on an Essex high street, causing significant damage. It happened in Halstead at about 01:50 BST, said police. At the scene, officers found one vehicle that had been used in the incident that was still running. No arrests have been made, but the force said officers had spoken to several witnesses and urged anyone with information to come forward. The road had closed but has since reopened. TOLEDO, Ohio- A former Ohio attorney was convicted of attempted murder after prosecutors said he tried to shoot his ex-wife inside a crowded Toledo restaurant before a waiter and patrons intervened. Lucas County jury found Matthew Exton, 43, guilty of attempted murder, two counts of felonious assault and multiple firearm specifications. He was acquitted of a third felonious assault charge. The charges stemmed from an April 11, 2025, confrontation at Sabira restaurant in downtown Toledo. According to Lucas County Prosecutor Julia Bates, as reported by WTOL, Exton had been drinking at neighboring Souk when he saw his ex-wife and her family at Sabira, which was celebrating its opening night. Exton entered Sabira, ordered a drink to be sent to their table and spat toward the group as he left, according to prosecutors. He later returned armed with a handgun and headed toward his ex-wife's table. Prosecution witnesses testified Exton attempted to fire the gun at his ex-wife, but it did not discharge because the safety was engaged. A waiter tackled Exton before he could make another attempt. The gun contained one round in the chamber and seven more in the magazine, according to prosecutors. "Nothing in their training and soft openings at the restaurant could have prepared the staff for what walked through that door," Bates said, via WTOL. "The defendant did not come with the intention of having a meal. He came with anger in him and with the intention to commit a public execution of his ex-wife at the restaurant that day." Exton testified that he did not intend to pull the trigger, reports The Toledo Blade, and claimed he pointed the gun at his ex-wife in an effort to pressure her to speed up the sale of their former home. The newspaper also reported that the trial also took an unusual turn during closing arguments when Judge Gary Cook ordered Exton removed from the courtroom after he repeatedly interrupted prosecutors. Exton watched the verdict remotely from a holding area. Two people are dead after two separate shootings in Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood early Sunday morning. One of those shootings happened after an illegal street racing takeover at 3rd and Clay St. “We were just up watching TV and hanging out in our apartment, and we heard the car racing going on, which typically happens at this intersection,” Heidi Hetzel said. Hetzel said illegal street takeovers have happened there before, but Sunday morning something else on a nearby sidewalk caught her attention. “My partner kept watching and said, ‘Oh no- they’re fighting,’ and so we kind of saw the altercation that went down.” Seattle police were called to the scene at 12:42 AM, Detective Brian Pritchard wrote on the SPD blotter. Officers found two men who’d been shot. Both were transported to Harborview Medical Center, where one of them died. Later, a man and woman – both with gunshot wounds – turned up at Harborview. Police say they are linked to the shooting. Within less than two hours of the 3rd and Clay Street shooting, Seattle police were called to a separate shooting six blocks away at 3rd and Blanchard.
