A car has narrowly missed a pedestrian before slamming into a Sydney petrol station. The wild footage, captured by CCTV shows a black sedan swerving before crashing through a sign and into a fuel bowser and parked ute. The sedan came within metres of a person on the footpath as it veered off the road and into the petrol station. The pedestrian can be seen falling onto the pavement. A NSW Police spokesperson confirmed that emergency services had responded to a crash at a petrol station on Fairford Road in Padstow about 4.50pm on August 28. “Officers attached to Bankstown Police Area Command attended and found a sedan had left the roadway, crashed through a petrol bowser, and hit an unattended ute,” a police spokesperson said. FRESNO, Calif. — A woman was arrested after police say she drove recklessly with children in her vehicle following a hit-and-run crash in Fresno. The Fresno Police Department says officers responded around 6:07 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, to a crash near Shields and Fowler Avenues, with the driver leaving the scene. Officers later located the suspect vehicle traveling west on Highway 180. Police helicopter AIR1 followed the vehicle from above and reported seeing it speeding, driving on the shoulder, tailgating and sideswiping another vehicle. The driver eventually crashed into a guardrail near the Blackstone and Abby Avenue exit. Police say a juvenile passenger got out and ran to an officer for help. That child had visible head injuries, while a second juvenile reported pain from the crash. The driver, identified as 41-year-old Brooke Smith, showed signs of impairment. New Jersey teens stole a $220,000 luxury SUV and joyrode it into a head-on collision that killed a grandmother and her partner. Nayshaun Brown, 18, and 3 other teens who are minors allegedly stole the Mercedes G-Wagon, evaded police, drove it at high speeds on the wrong side of the road, and crashed it into a Hyundai. Robert Barr, Jr., 54, and Alice Stilwell, 67, were the drivers of the Hyundai and were both killed in the head-on collision. An Arkansas trooper was usspnhurt after using a PIT maneuver earlier this month to stop a suspect trying to free a traffic stop, leading to a crash that seriously injured an elderly couple. The incident happened at about 7 p.m. Aug. 5 when an Arkansas State Police tried to pull over a driver for a traffic violation along Interstate 55 in Truman, the department stated in a news release. The driver, later identified as Laloyd L. Hamilton III, refused to stop and sped away at roughly 130 mph. During the pursuit, the trooper performed a PIT maneuver to stop Hamilton's car, which overturned and flipped into another vehicle. The collision seriously injured a 73-year-old man and a 68-year-old man in the other vehicle, and they were rushed to the hopsital. Hamilton also was taken to the hospital because of injuries suffered in the crash. The trooper was injured in the incident. A search of Hamilton's car uncovered a variety of drugs, including marijuana and an unknown liquid substance. The suspect was arrested, and he faces several charges, including felony fleeing, second-degree battery, possession with purpose to deliver a controlled substance, driving while intoxicated and other counts. That's either intentional or fucking stupid. I'm thinking the latter. Footage captured of the two helicopters shows the moment before the pair collided, in a crash that caused the death of two crew.
