EDMONTON — Fans at an Edmonton Oilers game were removed from Rogers Place on Tuesday after reportedly waving an Alberta flag. A video circulating on social media Wednesday shows at least two young adult males being approached by Edmonton Police Service officers while seated. It shows officers speaking with the males, who, along with other fans, claim they did nothing wrong after allegedly waving an Alberta flag, though the flag or any lead-up is not shown. The incident escalated to the point where officers forcibly removed the males.  Warning: the video below contains profanity. Rogers Place's Safety and Security Guidelines prohibit... "Signs, Flags, or Banners exceeding 11” x 17” or attached to a pole/stick. Signs must be relevant to the event. Signs may not contain or display obscene or offensive language and/or pictures as determined by Rogers Place Management." The guide also states that "Management reserves the right to prohibit or remove a sign or banner at any time." York Regional Police have released video footage of an officer tackling a motorcyclist who investigators allege fled from police after failing to stop at the scene of a crash. The incident occurred on Aug. 9 in Richmond Hill, police said. According to police, a 42-year-old motorcyclist was arrested near 16th Avenue and Mural Street after refusing to pull over for an officer. The motorcyclist, police said, had been involved in a collision and when told to return to the scene and exchange information, the man refused. He then fled the area despite being told he was under arrest, police said. Minutes later, video captured from a body cam and police cruiser showed an officer sneaking up behind the motorcyclist, who was parked on the road, before tackling him to the ground. Police said no injuries were reported during the collision or the arrest. A Toronto father is speaking out after video surfaced showing his 15-year-old twins being arrested and “manhandled” by plainclothes police officers at a Scarborough McDonald’s last week. In a statement to CP24 on Saturday, Toronto police say they are “aware of the video and have forwarded it to Professional Standards for investigation.” “We don’t have any further information to provide at this time,” spokesperson Stephanie Sayer said. Brian Galindo, the father of the twins, says his children had gone to the McDonald’s located at Victoria Park Avenue and Ellesmere Road on Sept. 3, after their phones had died. He said his children told him two people approached them and began pushing them without clearly identifying themselves as police. “They were thinking stranger danger,” he told CP24 on Sunday. “They don’t know. One person has been arrested and charged, while another remains at-large, following a double stabbing in Mississauga on Saturday night. The incident, which investigators initially described as an altercation with a “possible stabbing,” happened at a shopping plaza in the Cooksville neighbourhood near Dundas Street West and Parkerhill Road, just west of Hurontario Street. Peel Regional Police said at around 5 p.m. officers responded to a call for a disturbance in a parking lot. “Upon arrival, officers located two adult men suffering from stab wounds following a reported parking dispute,” they said in a news release. “Both victims were transported to hospital with serious injuries and are now in stable condition.” Police said officers at the scene searched the area and quickly located one of the suspects without incident. Ali Halimi, 30, of Mississauga, was arrested and charged with assault. The charge has not been tested in court. A second male suspect, whom police believe stabbed the victims and is in possession of the knife, remains outstanding.
