Police said he had been armed with a gun when officers arrived on the scene. Minutes after arriving, officers shot and killed Oliver. Police released body camera footage from a deadly shooting involving an officer, who fired their gun at an unarmed man in Lathrop. On Aug. 27, Lathrop police officers responded to a domestic violence call at a residence in the 1500 block of Pamela Court near Pamela Court. According to dispatch audio in the video, the female victim can be heard screaming and pleading for a man to stop hitting her. Loud banging can also be heard in the background. The couple's two children were also present during the altercation, according to police. In the video, the man, later identified as Enrique Lozano, can be seen ignoring officers' orders and tried to grab for one of their guns. That's when an officer fired their gun and struck Lozano. Officers provided medical aid to Lozano, who later died at the hospital. No officers were hurt. The California Department of Justice is independently investigating the shooting. State law requires the DOJ to investigate and review police shootings involving unarmed civilians. Having completed probation, Xu is asking an Alameda County judge to dismiss his felony conviction through a legal process commonly called expungement. The Alameda County District Attorney’s Office is opposing the request. Under California law, eligible defendants who successfully complete their probation can petition to have their convictions dismissed. Such relief does not erase the underlying court records or eliminate every consequence of a conviction, according to California Superior Court guidance. Yuan fears the dismissal would make it more difficult for future employers to learn about Xu’s criminal history. San Francisco, CA - The San Francisco Public Defender’s Office released police body camera video on Thursday showing officers beating a suspect last year, leaving him hospitalized and in intensive care, and accused officers and prosecutors of misconduct. The violent arrest happened on Aug. 17, 2025, at an apartment on Sixth Street in the city’s South of Market area. The video shows officers approaching 33-year-old Kevon Gibson at an elevator, telling him to step out and that he was not under arrest. However, the officers immediately grab Gibson as he begins screaming and is taken to the ground. During the struggle which continues for several minutes, each of the police officers is seen repeatedly punching and kicking Gibson, kneeling on his head, and pulling his hair. Gibson is heard yelling out that he can’t breathe during the struggle, and officers are also heard accusing Gibson of biting them. According to the Public Defender’s Office, officers falsely claimed that Gibson had assaulted them by biting, punching, and wrapping a radio cord around an officer’s neck, claims later refuted by video evidence. Gibson spent several days in the ICU before he was booked on charges of illegally possessing a gun and felony resisting arrest. Gibson was convicted of unlawful gun possession and misdemeanor resisting arrest for not exiting the elevator, but the jury acquitted him of felony resisting arrest. Hahn Nguyen, an Anaheim resident who was reportedly arrested days earlier in connection with an animal cruelty investigation, was seen applying dog feces to a wall in an apparent effort to discourage people from climbing over it and was being racist as seen in this video. According to the anonymous follower, people had been using the wall as a shortcut between a nearby parking area and the street, allowing them to reach their homes without walking around the block. The area reportedly had an opening in the past, but a wall now blocks the route. The footage appears to show Nguyen applying the feces along the wall to make it less appealing for people attempting to climb over.
