On February 23, 2026, at Lakeview Shock Incarceration Correctional Facility in Brocton, New York, 34-year-old inmate J’Kendric Agee launched an unprovoked attack on a female civilian counselor during a classroom program, then turned on corrections officers who rushed in to help. The New York State Department of Corrections released security footage of the assault. Agee was indicted on two counts of second-degree assault. He has pleaded not guilty and is being held on $250,000 cash bail. He was also transferred to Attica Correctional Facility ahead of his next court date. A chaotic and violent scene unfolded at a busy Santa Monica intersection on Sunday when a man shouting obscenities first chased a couple, then attacked them with his dog. The suspect, identified as Tar Nay, faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon and making criminal threats. The incident happened around 5:20 p.m. at Broadway and the Third Street Promenade pedestrian mall. Video shared on social media shows the suspect first driving slowly through the intersection while brandishing a baseball bat and yelling at the couple. Moments later, he gets out of the car and chases them while shouting “genocide” and “genocidal.” The couple believes they were targeted because they are Jewish. After the initial confrontation, the suspect returned to his car, then came back with his dog which, according to Santa Monica police, bit the male victim on the thigh. He then got back into the car with the dog and drove away. The victim was treated at the scene for a minor wound. Police say the suspect was yelling at several people in the area and, at this point, they cannot say for certain whether the incident qualifies as a hate crime. They did not share how or where Nay was arrested. VALLEJO, Calif. - A road-rage attack in Vallejo was caught on video, showing a woman pepper-spraying an Army veteran she believed was driving too slow. Cell phone footage taken by the victim shows a woman getting out of a Nissan Altima on Monday morning. "You scared? You should be scared b-" the woman says before she sprayed an orange chemical liquid into the window of the victim's work truck. The caustic chemical landed in both of Joe Vallely's eyes. "Ow!" he repeatedly yells on the video with expletives. "Immediately felt the pepper spray. She was like 2 feet away. She got me directly in the eyeballs," Vallely said on Tuesday. "It felt like someone was sandblasting my eyeballs with glass." "She slammed on her brakes, she forced me to slam on my brakes. And there's cars behind me that almost hit me. I almost hit the lady," he said. And when she came out of her car, he says he began backing up - and never engaged with her. "In the video, I said nothing. I wanted no confrontation. I wanted nothing to do with any interaction. Four teenagers were charged with attempted murder after police said a homeless man was found beaten in the City of Binghamton. Officers responded to the area of Carroll and Henry Streets in the City of Binghamton on Monday, April 27th, as a result of a report of an unconscious man on the sidewalk. Police say the man, a 45-year-old of Binghamton, appeared to be injured and possibly assaulted. They add that he was displaying signs of a medical crisis. The man was then taken to a local hospital by the Broome Ambulance Squad for further evaluation and treatment. Police said the man sustained serious physical injuries to his head and body, and he remains at the hospital in critical condition. According to police, an investigation was conducted that night, where they discovered the man to have been a victim of an assault that took place around 9:30 p.m. in the area. The investigation determined that the man was walking along the sidewalk alone and was punched and kicked by five juveniles on Carroll Street. Police say the man had become unconscious due to his injuries after walking a short distance. The juveniles had allegedly fled the area on foot. The investigation also determined that at the time of the assault, the man had no permanent address. Five teenage suspects were identified by police after several interviews were conducted and an extensive video canvas of the downtown area was completed during the investigation. The five juveniles were identified at approximately 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28th. The teens that were charged include two 15-year-olds, two 14-year-olds, and a 13-year-old. According to police, the motive for the assault was related to a trend found on social media where attacks on unhoused or drug addicted individuals are recorded and posted. The two 15-year-olds and two 14-year-olds were charged with attempted murder in the 2nd degree and brought to the Broome County Centralized Arraignment Part Court for arraignment. The four were remanded to Syracuse to a secure juvenile detention facility. Nine juveniles have been identified and charges are pending against five of them on Wednesday after Baltimore County officers responded to a fight in Towson earlier this week. Police said officers were called at about 3:40 p.m. on April 20 to the unit block of Lambourne Road for a “physical disturbance.” The department said it is believed the incident stems from a verbal altercation in school, and that the juveniles involved are known to each other. The juveniles range in age from 11- to 14-years-old, according to authorities. Five juveniles are facing second-degree assault charges after police recovered new evidence that helped identify them. Two juveniles under the age 13 will not charged, according to police. None of the juveniles are in custody as officers continue efforts to notify their parents. The incident drew attention after a social media video taken Monday around 3:30 p.m. outside the Towson Promenade appeared to show a group of juveniles surrounding one individual and beating them on a public sidewalk. A police spokesperson said the department was not able to verify the social media video. A second incident happened Tuesday involving some of the same students inside Dumbarton Middle School during a meeting with the School Resource Officer (SRO), police said. During the meeting, a student and their parent left the office and got involved in a physical fight with another student in a hallway. The parent was later trespassed from the school, authorities said.
