Surveillance video shows a stunning attack in East Harlem, where an unsuspecting man was attacked with a steaming cup of liquid that left burns across his face. The random attack happened Monday night outside of a Cravin Crispy restaurant on 116th Street. Video shows the victim standing with his back turned to the suspect, who approaches with the unknown substance and hurls it onto the man's face. He suffered burns to his face and neck. Investigators said the two men do not know each other and it's not clear why the victim was targeted. Several news outlets in Greece are reporting of a fight in the island of Mykonos, where allegedly a British tourist got into a heated argument with locals, after he kicked a cat in the street. The shop owners who saw him, refused to sell to him and told him to leave. The altercation led into a physical fight. This incident has gone viral in Greece, which has some of the toughest penalties for animal abuse in Europe. For context, kicking a cat could lead to a penalty of 5000€ which can increase all the way to 50.000€ depending on the severity, as well as a 10 year prison term. Police said the woman had just gotten off work and was walking home when she noticed a man watching and following her. When the victim reached her apartment in the 200 block of Leslie Street, authorities said the suspect approached her from behind. When she turned around, he allegedly repeatedly punched her in the face and body while telling her to be quiet. The victim fought back and screamed, causing the suspect to run from the area, police said. A motorist from Fife left a cyclist with a serious brain injury following a violent road rage incident in Edinburgh. Joseph Hedley became involved in a confrontation with the cyclist before violently attacking him at the city’s Cowgate in September 2024. Hedley, 39, left his vehicle and approached the innocent male, before grabbing him by the neck and violently throwing him to the ground. The victim smashed his head off the road and suffered serious head injuries, including a fractured skull and bleeding on the brain. Hedley then left the 34-year-old cyclist lying unconscious in the middle of the road as he got back into his car and drove off. Hedley, from Kirkcaldy, subsequently found out police had put out an appeal to find the motorist involved and handed himself into a local station two days later.
