Orange County, Florida — On June 3, 2026, at about 1 p.m., deputies responded to the 8200 block of Tivoli Drive because a neighbor reported there was a woman, identified the woman as 59-year-old Rosalia Hodges, outside of a home, screaming. When deputies arrived, they knocked on the door of the residence, and Hodges came out holding a knife. Deputies retreated back toward the street and ordered her to drop the knife several times. She refused to drop the knife and shouted “I’ll kill you” as she continued to advance. Three deputies fired their service weapons, and Hodges was struck. Deputies rendered aid until paramedics arrived. An illegal immigrant with a criminal history that includes a hit-and-run remains on the run Wednesday, after he allegedly rammed his car into a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) vehicle in Pennsylvania, prompting a federal agent to open fire, authorities said. ICE officers were trying to take Clemente Lara-Hernandez, a Mexican national, into custody in Harrisburg at around 6:15 a.m. when he resisted At one point, Lara-Hernandez "weaponized his car" and rammed an ICE vehicle, the agency said. "The illegal alien then dangerously drove in the wrong direction on a one-way street and crashed into a civilian vehicle," an ICE spokesperson said. An ICE agent fired his weapon and another sustained a cut to the hand, authorities said. No one appeared to have been struck. MARQUETTE COUNTY, Mich. - The 31-year-old man facing multiple charges after allegedly injuring two people in a shooting in Marquette before fleeing and crashing into a Negaunee gas station has been referred for a competency exam. Court documents show Trevor Restivo, 31, was referred for a competency exam in Marquette County District Court on June 18. His case has been disposed until then. Restivo faces 10 charges, including assault with intent to murder. Those charges stem from an incident on June 5 that began with an alleged shooting in Marquette and ended in Negaunee. Law enforcement says the Marquette Police Department responded that day to a call of a reported disturbance on Baraga Avenue. When officers arrived at the scene, they located a 33-year-old man with apparent gunshot wounds inside the apartment. A second male victim, 68, was also located in the apartment with minor injuries. Police say before they arrived, Trevor Restivo fled the scene and drove to Negaunee, where Michigan State Police troopers began pursuing his vehicle. CENTRAL, La - New law enforcement body camera video of Central Pastor Tony Spell has been released, showing him using a slur. The video was recorded around 4:50 a.m. on Thursday, June 25, just days after authorities said he was arrested for allegedly attacking a 20-year-old man during a confrontation that was captured on surveillance video near Life Tabernacle Church in Central. In the body camera video from June 25, law enforcement officers are seen speaking with Spell about a complaint that he was cutting grass early in the morning. Deputies can be heard saying the noise complaint came from a neighbor, and Spell’s response includes him using the slur. “Beating the heat. There’s no law against that. He’s just sore because I beat the crap out of his little f***t boy,” Spell is heard saying on the body camera video. “And he’s next if he comes over here and harasses these boys,” Spell says while motioning toward some people standing next to him. In another part of the body camera video, a deputy is seen approaching Spell, asking for his name. “Everybody in the world knows my name. What’s the problem?” Spell answers. Arrest documents reveal the alleged fight that led to Spell’s arrest happened around 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 23, near Life Tabernacle Church, which is where he serves as pastor. According to the documents, the alleged victim told investigators he shouted a profanity at Spell before the confrontation. Scott Sherwin, the alleged victim’s father, told the WAFB I-TEAM there had been a long-standing feud between his family and Spell. In a police report filed in March of 2026, Spell’s wife told police she was harassed twice. Los Angeles, California — On May 16, 2026, at around 1:45 a.m., Los Angeles Police Officers from the Hollenbeck Patrol Division responded to a radio call of an Assault with a Weapon in progress at a residence in the 3000 block Glenn Avenue. Upon arrival, the officers were met by a family member of the suspect outside of the suspect’s residence. While officers were conducting their investigation, the suspect, later identified as 40-year-old Robert Velasquez, emerged from the residence with two knives and a grilling fork. The officers gave verbal commands to Velasquez to drop the weapons, but he did not comply. Velasquez threw one of the knives in the officers’ direction and while still armed with one knife and the grilling fork, an Officer-Involved Shooting occurred. Velasquez fell to the ground momentarily and began to get back up to his feet, still holding the knife and grilling fork resulting in a second Officer-Involved Shooting. Velasquez was struck by gunfire, collapsed onto the ground, but refused to submit to arrest. Velasquez sat up and began moving toward the front door of the residence resulting in the use of an intermediate force option. The intermediate force option was successful, and Velasquez was taken into custody. The officers rendered medical aid until the arrival of Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics. Los Angeles Fire Department personnel arrived at scene and transported Velasquez to a local hospital for medical treatment. Two knives and a grilling fork were recovered at the scene and booked as evidence.
