Crystal Lawson, 32, was hired in 2022 as a Juvenile Probation Officer for the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice before being terminated from that role for a battery charge later that year. Although Lawson was fired, her access to the court database was not cut off. Between January and May 2026, Lawson used the database 106 times to search for active criminals being investigated for drug trafficking. Lawson unlawfully found multiple active, unserved arrest warrants and leaked that information to the criminals. Harris County Precinct 5 Constables are asking for the public’s help identifying a woman accused of burglarizing a mausoleum at a west Houston cemetery. According to Precinct 5 Constable Terry Allbritton, surveillance video captured a woman opening glass cases containing cremated remains at a cemetery along the Katy Freeway near North Eldridge Parkway. Investigators say the woman stole jewelry and other valuables from inside the mausoleum. The surveillance footage also shows the woman accompanied by a toddler during the incident, authorities said. Deputies believe the suspect may be connected to at least one other theft reported earlier this year at the same cemetery. The woman is described as being between 30 and 45 years old and having tattoos on her back. Officials released surveillance video of the suspect and are asking anyone who recognizes her or has information about the case to contact Precinct 5 investigators. MERCED, Calif. — A 15-year-old was hospitalized in critical condition after being stabbed during a fight Sunday night at the Merced County Fair. Deputies with the Merced County Sheriff’s Office, who were working at the fairgrounds, responded to the carnival area for a physical altercation. When they arrived, they found a teen suffering from several stab wounds. The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he remained in critical condition. Investigators identified three suspects as 26-year-old Nathaniel Yanez and two juveniles.
